{parts 1 & 2}
day two was for sleeping off jet lag, exploring a tiny bit of edinburgh and visiting family there. if you ever head off to scotland, you should know right now that edinburgh is a fantastic home base. the buses there are much cheaper and easier than in other cities, we found, and the train station is fantastic.
we walked along the firth to grandma and grandpa's house, and they showed us around their neck of the woods. they took us to the botanics and we literally got lost in the greenhouse for a really long time--but we made it back to their place in time for tea and pudding {which is not literal tea and pudding, which confused the daylights out of me when i sat down expecting tea and pudding and instead got a three course meal and cake}.
at this point, i decided i wasn't going to go home, ever.

So what.
I'm not even jealous of your trip or your sweater.
Also, I said on FB that I was available next week, but I also can be later today because GOSH I'll be sad to not talk to you today.
oh take me to Scotland, please.
Edinburgh was one of the coolest, but also one of the creepiest places I've ever been. We took one of those after-dark, haunted underground tours and then walked around the foggy streets in the dark. I would totally go back there.
oh this looks so so lovely.
OHMYGOODNESS is that a photo of your grandparents??? That's such an awesome take!!!
Thanks for the comments-- I'm super excited to be getting married! ha
I've only wanted to go there since the eighth grade. One day. Some beautiful shots there. Also, if those are your grandparents in the last picture, that's pretty much the sweetest thing I've ever seen. :)
I love Edinburgh, the boy and i went there for a couple of days when we were doing the long distance thing and it was amazing to be together just us in such a pretty place. Best memories ever!
And I loved part 1 and 2 too and the photos!
thanks guys. :) and yes, those are barclay's gramma & grampa. they're VERY cute.
These are great photos & I want your sweater. I also want to go to Scotland. I think what I'm trying to say is... I want to wear that sweater in Scotland, ha!
That photo of Barclay's grandparents is so sweet. You should definitely print it off & mail it to them.
I wish Canada had tea time.
