{personality test}

Photobucket

what's hanging from your rearview mirror? i feel like this could be a personality test. what do your pink fuzzy dice say about you?

i have a Christmas ornament, attached to part of an old necklace my mom wore when she was in high school. {i wore it to school in grade three and everyone made fun of me because kissing wasn't cool yet, and because everyone made fun of me for every single thing i did anyway. i took offence--this is my mom's necklace! you're not making fun of me; you're making fun of my mom!--and made sure to wear it every day thereafter so that the other kids would know that i didn't care what they thought; i loved my mom, and i thought she had good taste in necklaces. that was nice of me. kind of a silent love protest.}

somehow it stuck around all through high school and has now ended up dangling from the rearview mirror, yelling, "hey world! i still love my mom! and kissing is cool!"

so? what's hanging from your rearview mirror?

I have a hamsa and an evil eye hanging from my rearview mirror. You're right; it totally is like a personality test. Those two things say pretty much anything you need to know about me ;)

I don't have a rearview mirror. If I did I'm sure it would hold a little aeroplane because I'm predictable like that.

Kids are mean and kissing is cool. Way cool.

I have about a million glade air fresheners and one pink dog from Victoria's secret. I love him. Even though he's been there for years and years and smells like dust not strawberries. I just can't toss him. And I have a power ranger action figure key chain that has a string. And you can pull him out really far on his string and then push a button and suck the string back in. Very entertaining. I stole him from a kid at my first waitressing job. Pretty proud of myself for that.

So I guess those things say that I have an unhealthy obsession with air freaheners and I'm 4-years-old.

i have way way too much hanging from my rearview. the first thing is this green thing that says laugh (it's one of those things you buy to decorate presents with if you feel like spending more money on wrapping the gift than anything else), a diamond crystal thing my sister bought me (she had one in her first car), a pink cross necklace, my tassel from my graduation cap, and a gymnastics medal that was my cousin's who passed.

I usually don't like things hanging from my rearview mirror...if I see things dangling in my peripheral vision while I drive it makes me crazy! But I do have some small little poppies, like the ones you get from the vets at Walmart when you donate money to wounded veterans.

For what it's worth, I love your necklace. :)

That's just the sweetest story ever!

I can't drive and don't own a car, but Craig does & he has ... no ornamentation on it at all. I don't even think there's a sticker in the back window. Huh.

I had this pair of earrings that I didn't know what to do with--they're large and round and far too heavy for my ears but I couldn't bear to throw them away because they have a pretty, swooping, pink and purple pattern on them. So, when I bought my car and was subsequently strapped for cash, I decided to make a rearview mirror ornament out of them. All I had to do was take the ear hooks out, string them together with the pattern facing out, and hang them! Cheap but pretty :)

I love this story. And I love this photo.

But I don't drive.

Does that mean I have no personality?

hahaha if you had made me guess, i probably could have. :D

predictable..or reliable? your personality test result: reliable. your friends like you for that, i'm sure. :)

Suzy Krause said...

OR that you're nostalgic and fun loving and value cleanliness {or at least the appearance of it}?

Suzy Krause said...

hokey dinah! is your rearview mirror bolted in well? i hope so. that's a heck of a lot of stuff.
for some reason, when i was reading this though, i was reading it going, "i already knew that."
HOW?
have you posted about those things on your blog before or am i psychic?

Suzy Krause said...

that's a good one. i wish i got a tassel when i graduated...we don't do the whole cap & gown thing up here. so pretty much i've never really graduated. SIGH.

Suzy Krause said...

aw thanks. :) WE could've been friends in grade three.

your personality test result: you dislike chaos?

Suzy Krause said...

that probably says something too! something about him being straight-forward and easy-going? a no-frills kind of guy?

Suzy Krause said...

that's such a cute idea! you should post a picture, the blogosphere would love it.

Suzy Krause said...

they so can. sigh. i'm glad i'll never be a kid again!
oooh. hawaii....jealousssss

Suzy Krause said...

I wish I had a car so I could answer this but sadly I don't--obviously I have no personality ;)

I have an Asian tassel decoration thingie. Attached to that is one of those little wire and fabric forget-me-not flowers that the veterans make and also a Prince of all Cosmos cell phone charm.

I drive but I have nothing hanging from my rearview mirror. Does THAT mean I have no personality?

Suzy Krause said...

hahaha i love that people keep saying that. you have a personality, and it is great. maybe do an analysis of something else...like what kind of cereal you eat.

Suzy Krause said...

ooh, yours sounds pretty. trades...? haha

Suzy Krause said...

jen. i love your personality. so obviously not. :)

That's so neat! I have one of Steven's old necklaces from high school. you know...when it was cool for guys to wear necklaces. and a pretty necklace that he bought me with a purple pendant that shines in the sunlight. and a wooden keychain he bought me at a gun and knife show while we were still dating. Love them all! They've followed me to each rear-view mirror in each car I've had.

that's really sweet. all sentimental and stuff.. :D
