Woah this is so awesome. Also, I feel like such a nerd by admitting this, while at the same time slightly cool for my inside information, to admit that I recognised the program he is using in the video (Max MSP). I study industrial design and have used it in a project on interactive tiles for building a prototype as well (they made sounds and vibrated; surround sound made you think an animal was moving under your feet under the ground). So cool!
WHAT the WHAT!? this is the coolest ever i watched with my jaw dropped the whole time. gahhh, i missed the capitol hill block party! i was super old lady about it, and was all, "oh the crowds, all those youngins, loud!noise!" and didn't go :[ i think i was at home watching buffy the vampire slayer instead. all that to say, i am a little sad that stanley was so close, yet so far away. anyways. this is amazing. that gentleman is a genius.
Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
